Her research interests focus on the integration of Industry 4.0 technologies and lean management practices and their impact on operational performance in the manufacturing sector.
Industry 4.0 (I4.0) represents a transformative wave driven by cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), cloud computing etc. However, despite its potential, integrating I4.0 into existing industrial frameworks presents formidable challenges. Concurrently, lean management practices (LMPs) have long been acknowledged for reducing waste and improving efficiency. In this dynamic landscape, the synergy between LMPs and I4.0 emerges as a pivotal strategy for navigating complexity and fostering competitiveness. Together, they promise to revolutionise traditional manufacturing paradigms.
This research aims to find the intricate interplay between LMP and I4.0 and their collective impact on operational performance (OP). By elucidating these connections, it aims to bridge theoretical domains and provide actionable insights for industrial practitioners. Understanding how LMPs and I4.0 technologies complement each other can empower businesses to adapt proactively in an era defined by rapid technological advancement and market volatility. Ultimately, this study seeks to illuminate a path forward for organisations seeking to thrive in the ever-evolving landscape of industrial management and technological integration.
