Introduction

The OSCAR center was inaugurated in September 2022, coinciding with the launch of the Postgraduate Researcher Training Program in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Atlantic Technological University. This cutting-edge center offers advanced training and research opportunities aimed at fostering expertise in the dynamic field of operations and supply chain management.

Additionally, the centre promotes managerial excellence through close interactions with various industries and agencies. The OSCAR centre is committed to staying at the forefront of research and innovation, providing students and industry professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge to navigate the ever-changing landscape of operations and supply chain management.

Our Aims

  • To establish itself as the preeminent academic research centre for Operations and Supply Chain Management (OSCM) on a national and international level.
  • To produce highly skilled, motivated graduates who are focused on industry and aspire to take on executive roles to drive change and innovation in this discipline.
  • To address academic and skills gaps that can leverage Ireland’s unique geographic location, post-Brexit, as a gateway for domestic and international imports and exports to Europe and worldwide.
  • To increase external competitive research funding in collaboration with national and international agencies.
  • To build on existing collaborations with other faculties and enhance interdisciplinary research, develop partnerships, and research collaborations with national and international scholars.
  • To promote the communication, dissemination, and exchange of knowledge through events, conferences, seminars, blogs, and academic publications.
